Our light, bright and clean movement space offers high ceilings and a
small, intimate and inviting studio environment to encourage your
growth and safety. We are fully equipped with the traditional Pilates
apparatus, including some of the often forgotten or underutilized
teaching tools and props to help personalize instruction. Our classes
max out at 4-5 students on apparatus and 6 for Mat classes. With the
small class size and the expertise of our teachers, students are carefully
observed and guided toward safely reaching their fullest potential. The
culture of our studio is encouraging, compassionate and warm.

You are the focus of each lesson. We are here to help you feel stronger,
more confident, more skilled and more mobile. Our teachers are
masterful at thinking on their feet and adapting each lesson to the
individual needs of each client. They have spent thousands of hours
studying anatomy, biomechanics and movement science to provide you
with the highest quality instruction. The work starts with you walking in
the door in whatever state of health you are presently in. Our teachers

I am a Pilates instructor certified through ITT Pilates of San Francisco. My first experience with Pilates was in 2003 as an alternative to knee surgery. Since then, Pilates has been my source of strength and support for all the other physical activities I enjoy, including running, cycling, swimming and dance. As a trainer, my technique focuses on alignment, proper mechanics, and mind-body awareness for results in strength, flexibility, posture, balance and a more capable body overall. I work with clients of all levels, and I am passionate about sharing with others the changes I’ve experienced in quality of life and overall physical performance as a result from Pilates. All sessions are tailored to each client’s specific needs and goals, whether they may be recovering from an injury, training for a specific activity/sport, or just looking to stay in shape and look and feel better. I believe that through proper form, alignment and training, the body is capable of achieving anything the mind is set to do, and I love helping my clients get there. I am a PMA® Certified Pilates Teacher and I received my Pilates certification through the ITT Certified Pilates Instructor Training Program in San Francisco, CA.

The Integrated Teacher Training (ITT) Pilates program incorporates requirements that ensure an in depth education in anatomy as well as skills for working with, and maximizing, training for individuals with special physical considerations. The program was led by Jean Sullivan, owner and Director of A Body of Work Studios and co-founder of ITT Pilates. Jean has been a movement educator since 1998 and specializes in corrective exercise, postural assessment and program design. She devoted the majority of her teaching hours to these topics. This gave me a strong grounding in client assessment and the design of individual training programs, regardless of what physical condition each client presents. This also gave me the tools needed to work together with medical professionals, including physical therapists, in transitioning individuals from a medically supervised program to their own independent exercise program.
