The Pilates Method of mental and physical conditioning is currently being used with people of all shapes and sizes, amateur athletes, prenatal and postnatal women, teenagers, senior citizens, professional dancers, and celebrities. It is also becoming very common in helping people recover from and rehabilitate injuries of all types. The strengthening and stretching movements which are non-impact and stress-free are showing up in sports medicine clinics, physical therapy units, chiropractic clinics, spas, fitness centers, and dance schools.
